Bar anchors
Construction
Bar anchors consist of three main components:
- Anchor head
- Steel tension member – divided into bonded length and free stressing length
- Grout body
The steel tension member is designed as a round steel bar with hot-rolled coarse thread ribs, allowing it to be cut or coupled at any desired position.
Properties
- Nationally approved systems with internal and external quality control
- Excellent adaptability to transport and installation conditions through delivery in sectional lengths with coupler connections
- Easy stressing, re-stressing and load release through threaded anchorage systems
- Simple on-site length adjustment, for example in varying geological conditions (shortening by cutting or extension using coupler joints)
- Excellent bond between the anchor bar and cement grout due to the threaded rib profile
- High adaptability to required loads through a wide range of available cross-sections and steel grades
Construction variants
- Short-term anchor with a service life of up to 2 years
- Short-term anchor for extended temporary use with a service life of 2 to 7 years
- Removable temporary anchor
- Permanent anchor (service life up to 100 years)
