Solid bar nails
Unlike hollow bar nails, solid bar nails must be installed in a supported or stable borehole. Due to the high-strength threaded bars forming the load-bearing element, they provide a high load-bearing capacity while requiring comparatively small borehole diameters.
Construction
Solid bar nails consist of three main components:
- Nail head
- Steel tension member
- Grout body
The steel tension member is designed as a round steel bar with hot-rolled coarse thread ribs, allowing it to be cut or coupled at any desired position.

- Nationally and internationally approved system with internal and external quality control
- Excellent adaptability to transport and installation conditions through delivery in sectional lengths with coupler connections
- Easy on-site length adjustment, for example in varying geological conditions, by using sectional lengths with coupler connections
- Excellent bond between the threaded bar and cement grout due to the threaded rib profile
- High adaptability to required loads through a wide range of available cross-sections
Construction variants
- Temporary nail with standard corrosion protection (SCP)
- Temporary nail with enhanced temporary corrosion protection (ASCP) – standard corrosion protection taking corrosion rates into account or with additional coatings (e.g. galvanizing)
- Permanent nail with double corrosion protection (DCP)
