Ground anchors
Anchors are used whenever high tensile forces must be transferred into the ground.
Typical applications include the tie-back anchoring of excavation support systems and retaining walls, slope and rock stabilization measures, as well as the anchoring of bridge abutments or wind turbine towers.
The prestressing force applied at the anchor head by means of hydraulic stressing equipment is transferred into a load-bearing soil layer via the free length tendon and the grout body. The resulting anchor force therefore acts actively on the anchored structural element, meaning that no displacement of the structure is required for the anchor to become effective.
